3 Tips on Escaping "Bridal Shower Mayhem!"

Updated: Feb 13, 2020

You and your best pals are going to be in full wedding mode the closer you get to your wedding day. Your opportunity to unload from all of the stress will be at those pre-wedding celebrations. Some of you may plan a very elegant and traditional soiree, and some may have in mind an event where you can be silly and let loose. If you can do both, go for it.

We simply wanted to share with you a bit of advice to get you off to a great start with your celebrations. So, here we go:

1. If you don't tell them, they will never know!

If you don't want a male entertainer (...and you know what I mean), figure out what you do want and tell your squad ahead of time. You can't get upset with them for hiring a this performer if you weren't clear with them in the beginning. Oh, and "they are "suppose to know you better than that" is definitely going to get you in trouble in marriage if that is what you are telling yourself now. Just saying!

2. Don't try and remember what gift came from who...

Choose a person ahead of time to have a pen and paper in hand when the gift opening starts. Have that person write down the type of gift and who it came from. This information makes for an even sweeter thank you note, because you actually knew what gift the person gave and can thank them for it specifically.

3. Have fun!

I know that when our couples get to this point, we share one special word with them. Compartmentalize. You sitting in celebrations meant for you should not be the time you are wondering if you shared with the caterer the final head count. Chances are they are home while you are at your party and there is nothing that can be done about it in that moment anyway. Send yourself a text to remember to do it tomorrow and forget about it.

We hope something we have shared will help you. We want you to have the time of your life during these events, and the only way to do that is to be up front about what you want, plan ahead, and then relax!

Until next time...

be sweet & happy planning!
